Experiential Learning Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Create and develop captivating online learning products that adhere to Bryan University's Learning Model, program specifications, and relevant accreditation and regulatory standards.

• Implement evidence-based principles from instructional design, learning, and cognitive science to ensure alignment of outcomes, objectives, learning activities, and assessments.

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with Program Directors, subject matter experts, faculty, and other stakeholders to convert content and program requirements into impactful learning experiences.

• Construct and sustain learning products within the LMS utilizing appropriate educational technologies and established standards for design, accessibility, accreditation, and quality.

• Engage in quality-review processes and strive for continuous enhancement of the learning product.

• Create authentic assessments aimed at the practical application of course outcomes or competencies.

• Analyze data, track program/course performance, and identify opportunities for enhancing learning outcomes.

• Redesign programs and products by incorporating established and innovative design concepts and technologies.

• Oversee multiple projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring progress remains positive while implementing mutually beneficial solutions.

• Keep updated on developments in Higher Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, and Cognitive Science.

• Contribute to a collaborative, creative, and fast-paced team environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, Adult Education, Cognitive Science, or a closely related field is required.

• Over 5 years of experience in online instructional/curriculum design for a Higher Education audience.

• A proven history as a dynamic communicator and facilitator focused on student-centered, adaptive development.

• Demonstrated capability to apply creative pedagogical and technological approaches.

• Strong skills in presentation and organization.

• Experience with leveraging artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in instructional design workflows and online learning.

• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently within a collaborative environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and online learning technologies.

• Excellent communication (both verbal and written), collaboration, and facilitation skills, with the ability to effectively partner with key stakeholders.

• Knowledge of problem-solving, conflict resolution, and delivering customer satisfaction.

• Values higher education and the mission of BU to unlock the innate potential in individuals.

• Demonstrated proficiency in navigating a PC.

• Ability to operate in a virtual environment using multiple software applications concurrently, including MS Office programs, Gmail, Zoom, etc.

• Capability to sit for six to eight hours.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, committing at least 40 hours per week.

• Qualified candidates will be requested to complete a sample project to demonstrate their expertise and skills.

• Applicants who submit a portfolio with their application will receive additional consideration.

• An ideal portfolio should include examples of work within an online higher education context, along with a brief description of each project.
