This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.
• Assist with daily routines and household responsibilities
• Help with meal preparation, shopping, and financial planning
• Foster community engagement and social interactions
• Provide support for appointments and various activities
• Aid individuals in skill development and the pursuit of personal objectives
• Advocate for wellbeing, autonomy, and independence
• Keep precise records and collaborate with the broader team
• Work closely with individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities to enhance their confidence, cultivate life skills, achieve their aspirations, and promote independent living
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in New Zealand providing support to individuals with disabilities or in a similar community-focused support role
• Proven ability to work independently while assisting individuals with complex needs
• Background in behaviour support, mental health, youth services, social work, or trauma-informed care
• A Level 3 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or an equivalent qualification or experience)
• Possession of a full New Zealand driver's licence
• Excellent communication skills and a focus on person-centred care
• Willingness to work on a rostered basis, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand; visa sponsorship is not provided
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening, which includes two professional reference checks, verification of the right to work, driver's licence verification, criminal background checks, a pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol testing, ACC history check, and validation of qualifications or certifications
