
Exercise Physiologist – Pulmonary Rehab

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct thorough health evaluations for patients enrolled in pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Track patient progress and modify rehabilitation strategies based on exercise tolerance, heart rate, and blood pressure readings.
• Deliver tailored exercise programs to primarily older adults facing pulmonary challenges via telehealth and video conferencing.
• Execute exercise plans in accordance with professional standards and organizational guidelines.
• Assess patient progress, adherence, and reactions to the exercise regimen.
• Facilitate group exercise classes and refresh group exercise programming as needed.
• Accurately document patient information in a timely and concise manner.
• Offer motivation, emotional support, and cognitive-behavioral techniques.
• Recognize and tackle obstacles to completing rehabilitation and participating in group education.
• Instruct patients on cardiovascular wellness, nutrition, stress management, smoking cessation, dietary modifications, stress relief, and adherence to medication.
• Encourage consistent program participation and enroll patients in group educational sessions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, dietitians, exercise physiologists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide the healthcare team with updates on patient progress and any challenges encountered.
• Keep detailed documentation and track data for program outcomes, patient objectives, and adherence monitoring.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related discipline.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Required ACSM or AACVPR certification: CCRP, EP-C, CEP, or RCEP.
• Experience in a clinical or rehabilitation environment, preferably with cardio-pulmonary patients.
• Experience in leading group classes or serving as a Group Fitness Instructor.
• Familiarity with cardiovascular and pulmonary disease management.
• Understanding of exercise prescription and behavior modification techniques.
• Capability to convey complex medical information in an understandable manner.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Empathy and patience for patients facing various physical and emotional challenges.
• Fully remote work environment.
• Flexible work schedule of 20–30 hours per week, available between 8 am–10 pm ET.
• Compensation ranging from $20 to $30 per patient session.
