This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Oversee the field sales team for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH).
• Drive growth for a critical rare disease segment.
• Manage operating costs while fostering market development.
• Ensure compliance in execution across the specialty sales team.
• Develop national sales strategies and operational plans.
• Formulate and implement the national business plan utilizing brand strategies, market insights, customer data, access dynamics, and competitor analysis.
• Convert corporate and brand strategies into actionable objectives, KPIs, and field execution plans.
• Propel launch readiness and lifecycle management initiatives.
• Lead, recruit, mentor, and enhance the sales team, including sales managers and field sales representatives.
• Set performance benchmarks, annual goals, conduct reviews, provide coaching, plan for succession, and foster professional growth.
• Act as a subject matter expert on brand commercial strategies.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Market Access, Sales Training, Sales Operations, Medical, and other stakeholders.
• Advocate for omnichannel strategies and technological tools for customer engagement and territory management.
• Cultivate relationships with specialists, centers of excellence, and stakeholders in the healthcare system.
• Define customer focus for the sales force and strategize deployment to optimize coverage, productivity, and ROI.
• Oversee operating expense budgets and promote data-driven decision-making.
• Utilize data and metrics to track performance, identify optimization opportunities, and enact changes.
• Encourage transparent, ethical, and patient-centered sales practices that comply with corporate policies, industry standards, and regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 10–12 years of combined experience in pharmaceutical/biotech sales, sales leadership, and commercial strategy.
• At least 5 years of experience leading national or regional sales teams.
• Proven ability to develop strategic business plans.
• Experience in implementing omnichannel and field engagement strategies.
• Ability to collaborate across functions to meet launch and growth targets.
• Strong understanding of US healthcare dynamics, including provider organizations, IDNs, specialty pharmacies, centers of excellence, and access/reimbursement considerations.
• Demonstrated history of building and nurturing high-performing teams.
• Skills in strategic agility, business acumen, decision-making quality, results-driven performance, managerial courage, and team effectiveness.
• Extensive experience in rare disease commercialization, preferably in the PAH market.
• Experience in specialty markets with a concentrated customer base.
• Proven track record in competitive markets and successful product launches.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Must be a resident of the US or Puerto Rico.
