This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the execution of the Foundation’s strategic framework.
• Act as the main point of contact for the Board of Directors; assist in governance, board development, and committee operations.
• Develop internal systems and infrastructure to support grantmaking, evaluation, and public transparency.
• Create and implement a diversified fundraising strategy aimed at individual donors, major gift prospects, institutional funders, and public agencies.
• Foster and maintain relationships with philanthropic partners.
• Oversee donor reporting and communications; ensure accountability and transparency.
• Lead and advance grantmaking in three primary investment areas: early childhood research, access to high-quality early education within Public Systems, and direct support for children, families, and educators.
• Set up application processes, review committees, performance tracking, and grantee learning communities.
• Provide oversight and strategic direction for grant-funded initiatives.
• Assess grant portfolio performance and identify trends and areas requiring intervention.
• Propel a research and learning agenda centered on field insights, grantee perspectives, and ongoing improvement.
• Produce an annual public Impact Report.
• Represent the Foundation and enhance research findings through thought leadership and collaborative initiatives.
• Proven track record of scaling impact.
• Strong commitment to children, families, and the significance of early education.
• Established success in fundraising and external engagement.
• Knowledge of 501(c)(3) governance, public benefit requirements, and ethical grantmaking.
• Over 7 years of leadership experience in philanthropy, nonprofit management, or policy.
• Extensive knowledge of early childhood systems and/or family engagement strategies is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management abilities.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and develop new processes.
