Executive Director – Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Lead and drive technical architecture initiatives that encompass the entire enterprise application portfolio.

• Foster relationships and promote collaboration among teams.

• Assist in shaping CVS Health's architectural strategic vision.

• Mentor and guide senior architects and architecture leaders, enhancing their leadership capabilities.

• Establish and uphold CVS Health's reference architecture.

• Identify suitable technology partnerships.

• Act as a reliable technical advisor to senior executives.

• Convert complex architectural decisions into tangible business impacts and strategic direction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience as a software developer/architect (20+ years preferred).

• Proven history of leading extensive technical architecture initiatives across various value streams within a large, intricate enterprise.

• Acknowledged expertise in multiple technical domains.

• Capability to influence and align senior executives regarding technology strategy while translating technical details into business results.

• Experience in leading senior architects and architecture managers.

• Demonstrated success in developing leadership talent.

• Strong skills in collaboration, influence, negotiation, coaching, and coalition-building.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience is mandatory.

• Experience in the healthcare and/or insurance sectors is preferred.
