This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collect necessary data for preparing quotes, enter details of new quotes, and reach out to vendors for job estimates.
• Collaborate closely with partners and clients to establish project scope, specifications, and requirements, while performing necessary calculations.
• Stay updated on new products, industry trends, market costs, and pricing.
• Follow up on customer quotes and inquire with vendors regarding material pricing.
• Work with vendors to ensure timely receipt of pricing data.
• Engage in resolving issues related to pricing.
• Analyze specifications such as sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts.
• Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services and monitor actual costs in relation to bids as projects progress.
• Dispatch completed quotes to sales representatives and/or customers, builders, or designers one day prior to the established due date.
• Consult with owners, contractors, and subcontractors regarding changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
• Execute project work while utilizing and maintaining a bid calendar and updating Salesforce.
• Gain knowledge about the organization’s products, services, and customers by collaborating with experienced brand/product managers.
• Suggest products and services that align with clients' business requirements.
• Assist Project Managers with project execution in accordance with the defined project plan and project management methodology.
• Identify, develop, and gather resources necessary to complete projects.
• Build, maintain, and enhance effective sales relationships with major accounts/customers.
• Engage in corporate-wide initiatives related to pricing functions, philosophies, or processes.
• Participate in associate meetings and convey concerns to management.
• Experience in construction-related quotations or estimating is required.
• Familiarity with waterworks products is highly preferred.
• Previous experience with Planswift or similar estimating software is a plus.
• Knowledge of customer quotations software is highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in computer and software applications, including all Microsoft Office programs, is required.
• Experience in reading blueprints, building plans, or drawings is preferred.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational abilities.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and multitasking skills are essential, including the capability to manage multiple urgent requests.
• Self-motivated, creative problem solver, and independent.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to convey ideas in both technical and user-friendly terms.
