This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Act as the main point of contact and relationship manager for clients throughout the duration of a deal.
• Lead pre-closing solicitations, payment, and escrow transactions from initiation to closing and post-closing management.
• Collaborate in real-time with clients, Operations, Relationship Associates, and other internal support teams.
• Cultivate and sustain extensive knowledge of products and systems to assist clients with processes and mechanics.
• Facilitate the onboarding of new clients, setting clear expectations for payment and escrow procedures.
• Negotiate payment and escrow agreements, seeking legal assistance when necessary.
• Guide and mentor Relationship Associates assigned to active deals.
• Ensure the collection of KYC account opening forms and liaise with the internal KYC team.
• Review and finalize forms and documents to be requested from shareholders.
• Address and generate inquiries from transaction counsel, corporate principals, and other transaction facilitators.
• Examine payment spreadsheets for tax characterizations, wire instructions, and other essential details prior to authorizing solicitation.
• Coordinate with Operations on solicitation, payment specifics, and tax reporting inquiries.
• Take ownership of resolving mid-transaction challenges and proactively manage client and internal team expectations.
• Engage in client visits and assist with new business development initiatives.
• Support market research, lead generation, and database upkeep for trend and metric analysis.
• A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in M&A, banking, law, and/or finance, or a comparable combination of education, training, and experience.
• A graduate or legal degree is preferred.
• General knowledge of payment processes, including know-your-customer requirements and ACH/wire payment procedures.
• Familiarity with the M&A landscape and key buyer and seller market segments.
• Capability to understand, communicate, and articulate the benefits and value of products and services.
• Strong comprehension of M&A and the ability to swiftly review and interpret complex legal documents.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple dynamic issues concurrently.
• Flexible availability; while evenings and weekends are infrequent, they may occasionally be required.
• Highly responsive and willing to check emails outside of standard working hours, including weekends.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and resolve unexpected challenges.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
• FINRA Series 6/7 certification is a bonus.
