Escalator Field Trainer – Installations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Mentor apprentices, improvers, and skilled engineers to enhance their technical skills.

• Conduct training sessions on escalator installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and operational methods.

• Offer technical assistance and guidance during active installation projects.

• Aid in the introduction of new products, tools, techniques, and processes.

• Recognize gaps in skills and competencies and deliver focused development.

• Perform practical assessments and complete Pathway sign-off.

• Initiate early interventions when quality or capability concerns arise.

• Assist in minimizing snags, errors, and the need for repeat visits.

• Advocate for KONE's safety, quality, and installation standards.

• Disseminate technical knowledge and best practices throughout the field organization.

• Collaborate closely with supervisors, technical experts, and operational teams.

• Promote continuous improvement in quality, productivity, and technical proficiency.

• Accelerate the development of engineers' skills while safeguarding the time of experienced engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid UK driving licence.

• CSCS card.

• NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Installation (QCF) program.

• Extensive hands-on experience in escalator installation.

• Strong practical experience in escalator engineering, preferably with a substantial background in installation.

• Technical authority to mentor others in a live working environment.

• Capability to impart technical knowledge, deliver constructive coaching, and adjust approaches for apprentices, improvers, and seasoned engineers.

• Willingness to frequently work away from home during the week, necessitating multiple overnight stays.

• Readiness to travel across the UK.
