This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Assist in the design, construction, testing, training, deployment, and ongoing support of Epic applications.
• Collect and refine stakeholder requirements, map workflows, and create Epic configurations that align with operational objectives and policies.
• Develop and maintain specifications, decision logs, design documents, configuration documentation, workflows, and support procedures.
• Perform gap analyses for upgrades, regulatory changes, and new initiatives.
• Aid in minor projects and enhancements related to implementations and upgrades under the direction of senior team members.
• Participate in project teams and carry out assigned tasks using established project methodologies.
• Configure Epic records, master files, profiles, rules, security classes, and workflows.
• Ensure environment parity and adhere to change-management and build-naming conventions.
• Create and execute unit, integrated, and UAT test plans; address defects and document test evidence.
• Validate interfaces, printing, reporting, downstream workflows, and regression coverage.
• Manage release management, environment transitions, and downtime procedures.
• Provide go-live and post-live hypercare, including rounding, office hours, tip sheets, and on-site support.
• Handle service requests and incidents, meeting SLAs through triage, documentation, and root-cause analysis.
• Support Epic and other enterprise applications while collaborating on cross-application impacts and integrated workflows.
• Work with interface teams on HL7, FHIR, PDFs, CCD/CCDA, and other exchange workflows.
• Partner with analytics teams on Clarity/Caboodle extracts, registries, and operational reporting.
• Ensure regulatory readiness, audits, privacy/security controls, sensitive-record management, and audit trails.
• Contribute to ITIL-aligned incident, problem, change, and configuration management.
• Assist in the design and delivery of role-based training and maintenance of the CareConnect curriculum.
• Build, maintain, and prepare training environments; communicate releases and upgrade impacts to training stakeholders.
• Manage end-user training requests and incidents, document resolutions, identify trends, and suggest process improvements.
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline.
• Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years of experience in system/application analysis, support, or related IT roles.
• At least 1–3 years of experience in system/application analysis, support, or related IT roles; experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with Epic application(s) and healthcare workflows.
• Strong skills in requirements gathering, workflow design, and testing.
• Understanding of ITIL, change control, SDLC practices, system governance, and both waterfall and agile project methodologies.
• Ability to effectively communicate with clinical and operational stakeholders, as well as managed service providers, while producing clear documentation.
• Capability to support small to medium initiatives and collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams.
• For the Application Training role: Epic Training Environment Build certification/proficiency, or the ability to obtain it within the required timeframe, along with at least 1 year of training environment build or application support experience.
• Current Epic Certification or proficiency in relevant modules is preferred for the Application Build role.
• ITIL Foundation certification is desirable but not mandatory.
• Certifications in one or more Epic applications.
• Experience in a large healthcare system or hospital environment.
• Experience with other healthcare applications and systems.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with business intelligence and analytics tools.
• Full-time schedule consisting of 40 scheduled hours per week.
• Day shift.
