This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary subject matter expert and application analyst for Epic Ambulatory (AMB).
• Collect, analyze, and document business, clinical, and operational requirements.
• Design, build, configure, test, and provide support for Epic Ambulatory functionalities.
• Partner with physicians, clinical staff, operational leaders, and IT teams to enhance outpatient workflows and system utilization.
• Assess existing workflows and suggest process improvements and Epic optimization opportunities.
• Configure and manage records, navigators, templates, SmartTools, preference lists, order workflows, and other Ambulatory components.
• Facilitate integrated workflow design across various Epic applications.
• Engage in system design sessions, build reviews, testing activities, and project meetings.
• Develop and implement unit, integrated, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues and defects.
• Create and sustain project documentation, workflows, design specifications, and training materials.
• Assist in go-live planning, activation activities, stabilization efforts, and post-implementation optimization.
• At least 5 years of experience with Epic Ambulatory (AMB).
• Practical experience in Epic build and configuration within ambulatory care settings.
• Comprehensive understanding of outpatient clinical operations and healthcare workflows.
• Background in supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, optimizations, or large enhancement projects.
• Experience in gathering requirements and transforming business needs into technical solutions.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Capability to work independently in a remote consulting environment.
• Epic Ambulatory Certification is preferred.
• Experience in supporting multi-facility health systems or extensive enterprise Epic environments is preferred.
• Experience in full project lifecycle activities, encompassing design, build, testing, training, go-live, and stabilization is preferred.
• Familiarity with integrated Epic applications and cross-functional workflows is preferred.
• Prior consulting experience is preferred.
• Experience in supporting workflow optimization and operational improvement initiatives is preferred.
