Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Assist in the implementation of EHS programs, ensuring compliance and fostering continuous improvement initiatives throughout North America, which encompass safety, environmental, and contractor safety programs.

• Oversee incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions, and critical risk management efforts.

• Manage EHS metrics, reporting, training, and compliance documentation.

• Evaluate EHS performance data and support audits, inspections, and corrective action processes.

• Collaborate with operations leaders to enhance safety culture and promote environmental stewardship.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in Environmental, Health & Safety within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety compliance programs.

• Excellent organizational and documentation capabilities.

• Proficient in data analysis, metric tracking, and executing action plans.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with employees across all organizational levels.

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related discipline.

• 1-5 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety compliance.

• Knowledge of life safety codes and EHS regulations.

• Understanding of U.S. and Canadian regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, CSA, etc.).

• Solid analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.

• Capacity to communicate effectively and foster relationships at all organizational levels.

• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.

• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
