This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Design solutions incorporating hardware, software, services, as-a-service offerings, and third-party components.
• Create and present proposals that fulfill customer business and technical requirements.
• Offer technical insights to sales teams and customers through presentations and demonstrations.
• Oversee complex proposal designs and convey clear business value.
• Manage expectations of both customers and company stakeholders while mitigating risks.
• Convert business requirements into functional and technical solution designs.
• Articulate HPE's value propositions and align them with customer outcomes.
• Keep track of technology trends, competitive landscapes, and customer IT requirements.
• Lead account business planning and manage account pipelines from opportunities to closure.
• Facilitate in-depth discussions with clients and account teams to grasp needs and assess ecosystems.
• Recognize technical trade-offs, risks, and options for remediation.
• Coordinate with internal account teams and partners to formulate solution strategies.
• Share knowledge with external partners.
• Build pipeline through up-selling, cross-selling, and addressing unmet needs.
• Participate in sales forecast meetings and expedite the sales lifecycle.
• Document activities within the sales cycle and disseminate best practices.
• Engage with VPs, CxOs, line-of-business management, and influential customer leaders.
• Present at conferences, business events, and on social media platforms.
• Contribute knowledge and foster expertise within the Presales community.
• Preferred advanced degree in technology or a related field, or equivalent technical qualifications.
• Minimum of 12 years of technical experience in IT, focused on technical consulting and solution selling.
• At least 2 industry-standard relevant technology certifications or equivalent experience expected.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and project management methodologies/certifications is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Candidates must reside in the greater Texas region.
• Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites within the designated region.
• Proficiency in solution configurations, architecture design, demonstrations, and proofs-of-concept.
• In-depth knowledge of HPE products, software, services, solution domains, and adjacent domains.
• Extensive understanding of as-a-service business models and ecosystems.
• Capable of communicating in English and relevant local languages as necessary.
• Excellent executive-level written, verbal, and nonverbal communication abilities.
• Strong financial and business acumen, including knowledge of sales cycles, funnel management, KPIs, TCO/ROI, and financial models.
• Proficient in consultative and value-selling skills, advisory influence, executive presence, storytelling, objection handling, and closing techniques.
• Familiarity with technical tools and CRM systems.
• Strong resource management capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with various products, solutions, tools, or services.
• Ability to design and deliver product, solution, tool, or service demonstrations.
• Skills in project and time management, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and due diligence.
• Knowledge of partner offerings and expertise in strategic, go-to-market, and account-planning.
