This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +2 more states.
• Design solutions that integrate hardware, software, services, as-a-service offerings, and third-party components to achieve desired business outcomes for customers.
• Craft and present precise, relevant proposals that align with the business and technical requirements of customers.
• Offer technical expertise to sales teams and clients via presentations and demonstrations of products or solutions.
• Emphasize technical selling to clients and partners within Manufacturing and Retail sectors.
• Contribute to the technical impact of products or significant subcomponents.
• Address complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions that enhance time-to-market, lower costs, or fulfill unmet customer demands.
• Exhibit mastery in solution domains, as well as in the technical and business environments of customers.
• Coordinate complex proposals and convey clear business value.
• Manage expectations of customers and company stakeholders while mitigating risks.
• Review proposals and convert functional requirements into technical, workload-optimized solutions.
• Lead teams in creating and presenting outcome-based solutions that cater to customer business needs.
• Communicate HPE's value propositions and link them to customer outcomes.
• Stay updated on current, emerging, and adjacent technologies and trends.
• Represent the domain at conferences, business events, social media, and industry functions.
• Keep an eye on the competitive landscape.
• Drive account business planning, pipeline development, opportunity identification, and deal progression.
• Engage in detailed discussions with clients and account teams to assess ecosystems and formulate transformation strategies.
• Identify technical trade-offs, risks, and remediation strategies.
• Collaborate with internal account teams and partners to develop solution strategies.
• Share knowledge with external partners.
• Take part in sales forecasts and document sales-cycle activities using relevant tools.
• Cultivate advisory influence with VPs, CxOs, line-of-business leaders, and customer thought leaders.
• Share knowledge and enhance expertise within the Presales community.
• An advanced degree in technology or a related field is preferred, or equivalent technical qualifications.
• Over 8 years of technical experience in IT, primarily focused on technical consulting and solution selling.
• At least 2 relevant industry-standard technology certifications or equivalent experience are expected.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and project management methodologies and certifications is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Expertise in enterprise architecture, solution configuration, architectural design, demos, and proofs-of-concept.
• In-depth knowledge of HPE products, software, services, solution domains, and related areas.
• Strong understanding of as-a-service business models and ecosystems.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions and drive revenue through subscription consumption and other as-a-service models.
• Exceptional executive-level written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in English and applicable local languages as necessary.
• Skills in discussion, persuasion, consultative selling, value selling, advisory influence, and executive presence.
• Strong financial and business acumen, including knowledge of sales cycles, funnel management, KPIs, TCO/ROI concepts, financial models, and customer revenue models.
• Familiarity with company business, technical tools, and CRM systems.
• Excellent resource management abilities.
• Practical experience with a variety of products, solutions, tools, or services.
• Capability to design demonstration and walkthrough playbooks.
• Proficiency in delivering live demonstrations and walkthroughs.
• Strong project and time management, analytical, problem-solving, and due diligence skills.
• Mastery of partner offerings, go-to-market strategies, strategic planning, and account planning.
• Must be able to work as a remote employee while traveling within the East Coast.
