Engineering Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Lead and support a team of software engineers in the design, development, testing, and deployment of high-quality software solutions.

• Enhance existing software by correcting errors, adding new functionalities, or improving overall performance.

• Engage in defining the technical architecture, system design, and implementation strategies for various products.

• Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, promoting continuous improvement and technical excellence.

• Work closely with product management to comprehend requirements, prioritize tasks, and ensure engineering efforts align with business objectives.

• Develop and oversee software system testing and validation procedures, as well as programming and documentation activities.

• Foster innovation and efficiency by integrating emerging technologies and current industry trends.

• Identify and address technical risks to guarantee seamless project execution and timely delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated success in SaaS development projects, from initial concept through to deployment.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and industry best practices.

• Extensive experience in Java, particularly with hands-on knowledge of Spring Boot.

• Proven ability in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.

• Familiarity with cloud technologies and scalable systems.

• Comprehensive understanding of clean, scalable, and testable architecture principles and design patterns.

• Significant expertise in Relational Databases, especially MySQL.

• Proficient in ORM tools, preferably Hibernate.

• Proven experience in the development and maintenance of RESTful APIs.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 8 years of software engineering experience, including 1–2 years in a leadership capacity.

• Experience with front-end development utilizing React.

• Background in wine production software, the wine industry, or ERP/accounting software systems.

• Experience in architectural design and system integration.
