Engineering Specialist II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Provide technical guidance for projects related to Generative AI and intelligent solutions.

• Design application architectures utilizing LLMs, RAG, and AI agents.

• Create Java applications that integrate with AI and Machine Learning services.

• Collaborate with teams in Architecture, Product, Data, and Engineering to refine solutions.

• Assess new technologies, frameworks, and AI models.

• Establish development standards for AI-driven applications.

• Ensure the security, governance, scalability, and observability of intelligent solutions.

• Offer technical support to engineers implementing AI in products.

• Conduct proofs of concept (POCs) for innovative AI functionalities.

• Develop intelligent applications leveraging Generative AI.

• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.

• Create intelligent agents (AI agents).

• Integrate foundational models into the company's product offerings.

• Advance AI platforms with a focus on scalability, cost-effectiveness, and performance.

• Develop reusable components for AI utilization.

• Automate processes through the use of AI.

• Provide technical mentorship to engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience with Java 17 or higher.

• Proficiency in Spring Boot.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture.

• Experience in working with REST APIs.

• Knowledge of GraphQL.

• Experience in automated testing (JUnit, Mockito).

• Understanding of design patterns.

• Knowledge of SOLID principles.

• Familiarity with Clean Architecture.

• Understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

• Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture.

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

• Proficiency in Docker.

• Experience with Kubernetes.

• Practical experience with Generative AI.

• Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs).

• Understanding of Prompt Engineering.

• Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

• Knowledge of AI agents.

• Understanding of MCP (Model Context Protocol).

• Experience with the OpenAI API, Azure OpenAI, or Amazon Bedrock.

• Familiarity with frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or similar.

• Knowledge of embeddings and vector databases (Pinecone, OpenSearch, pgvector, Weaviate, ChromaDB).

• Understanding of fine-tuning and model evaluation.

• Knowledge of Responsible AI, governance, and AI security.

• Familiarity with model evaluation, metrics, and optimization of cost and performance.
