Engineering Manager – Ruby on Rails, .NET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Ensure the delivery of the committed roadmap by the teams, with a closed scope, estimated effort, and deadlines met.

• Develop and review code for high-risk or complex changes, including critical features, migrations, regional expansions, and hotfixes.

• Address high-impact and complex technical issues, preventing recurrence through alerts, testing, safeguards, and documentation.

• Provide architectural and design guidance, maintaining coding style, maintainability, and best practices in high-scale services and products.

• Be responsible for production stability: triage, attribution, correction, and remediation of errors, reverts, vulnerabilities, and security findings.

• Maintain the release flow of repositories from sandbox to staging and production, including branch synchronization, tags, and CI.

• Develop team members by delegating daily tasks to Tech Leads, providing performance feedback, and applying the monthly performance model as an improvement plan.

• Participate in the hiring process through technical interviews and candidate review committees.

• Draft and enforce technical documentation; coordinate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Support while escalating issues with relevant data.

• Be available to resolve critical issues as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced conversational Spanish.

• Over 6 years of experience in Ruby on Rails and .NET.

• Knowledge of PM2, Domain Driven Design, and Clean Architecture.

• Experience in event-driven development.

• Self-motivated and capable of self-management, with excellent organizational skills.

• Demonstrated critical, logical, and mathematical reasoning abilities.

• Ability to work effectively in a team.

• Availability of personal computing equipment.

• Previous experience working with GCP (considered a plus).

• Experience with Kafka and/or Pub/Sub (considered a plus).

• Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) (considered a plus).

• Familiarity with common algorithms and data structures (considered a plus).
