Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Directly engage with data, structure the technical stack, and establish infrastructure.

• Personally oversee project delivery as the technical support when necessary.

• Steer the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable and maintainable codebases.

• Develop and utilize AI agents while reviewing agent-based outputs.

• Spearhead innovation in product features and processes.

• Manage the collection and prioritization of ideas and prompts.

• Foster experimentation and iterative development.

• Distribute projects among pods according to skills and performance metrics.

• Prioritize tasks to align with business objectives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Track velocity, cycle time, and other throughput metrics.

• Enhance development processes and ensure the quality of deployments.

• Conduct task reviews, offer actionable feedback, and identify potential risks.

• Perform performance evaluations, mentorship, feedback, and talent management.

• Lead teams through demanding, high-pressure delivery timelines.

• Propel rapid iteration delivery while upholding quality standards.

• Assume direct responsibility for outcomes and address urgent requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced hands-on experience with Node.js, React, and NestJS.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Capability to develop and utilize AI agents and assess agent-generated work.

• Proven experience leading projects with Python for data analysis, backend development, or AI/ML applications.

• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for frontend and full-stack development.

• Expertise in statistical analysis, data visualization, data manipulation, Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.

• Strong emphasis on data validation, cleansing, enrichment, and quality assurance.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Data Engineering, or a related discipline; candidates with Electrical Engineering backgrounds are also welcome.

• Over 5 years of software development experience.

• At least 2 years in a leadership capacity suitable for Engineering Manager-level responsibilities.

• For roles at the Senior Engineering Manager/Technical Team Lead level, experience managing teams larger than 3–6 individuals is required.

• Proven track record of leading urgent, complex technical projects and delivering them on or ahead of schedule.

• Demonstrated ownership, high personal productivity, and strong initiative.

• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
