This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and develop a team of Postgres engineers through mentorship, constructive feedback, and clear technical direction.
• Drive significant product initiatives from conception to launch while ensuring a balance of speed, reliability, and quality.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Infrastructure teams to convert customer requirements into technical solutions and product roadmaps.
• Direct system design choices and assist in navigating architectural trade-offs.
• Encourage a culture of ownership, accountability, and continual enhancement in engineering practices and team workflows.
• Decompose complex challenges into manageable milestones that quickly deliver value and support the long-term evolution of the platform.
• Ensure comprehension of both developer experience and customer impact for features developed by the team.
• Work with product management, customers, and internal teams to prioritize tasks and deliver meaningful features and solutions.
• Over 8 years of experience as an Engineer delivering products and/or features with downstream effects on the business and product ecosystem.
• Preferably, experience in building stateful services.
• At least 2 years of experience in personnel management and engineer development, including recruiting, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
• Strong technical foundation in system design, architecture, and engineering trade-offs.
• A product-oriented mindset with a track record of translating business objectives and user needs into engineering roadmaps and deployed features.
• Capability to balance urgency with deliberate execution while upholding high standards of quality.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, and design teams.
• A strong sense of ownership and accountability for team results and long-term system health.
