Engineering Manager – Full Stack, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and nurture the development of engineers.

• Take charge of performance management, recruitment, onboarding, career growth, accountability, and fostering team culture.

• Oversee engineering KPIs, productivity, capacity, resource distribution, quality, and delivery commitments across various projects.

• Utilize data to enhance engineering performance and deliver outcomes.

• Manage development tools, cloud environments, CI/CD processes, testing, deployment, security, and engineering logistics.

• Streamline AI-assisted development workflows, reduce infrastructure costs, and enhance operational efficiency.

• Collaborate directly with US and other clients to grasp requirements, direct technical solutions, manage delivery expectations, and ensure measurable business outcomes within Chiri's AI MSP model.

• Engage in architecture, coding, integrations, code evaluations, troubleshooting, and production support.

• Collaborate with the CTO on technical standards and their implementation.

• Report to the Co-Founder and CTO, assuming responsibility for engineering management and delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership abilities, including direct management, coaching, performance evaluation, and cultivating high-performing engineering teams in a remote setting.

• Experience in managing engineering metrics, delivery operations, resource allocation, and multiple simultaneous initiatives.

• Strong communication skills for customer interactions, including collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.

• Extensive hands-on full-stack engineering experience with TypeScript and Python, covering backend services, APIs, integrations, and modern frontend frameworks like React and Next.js.

• Production experience with AWS and/or Azure, Docker, Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools, Git, CI/CD, SQL, and automated testing.

• Experience in building or operating AI-driven applications utilizing LLMs, agents, or automation workflows.

• Solid understanding of software architecture, security, reliability, and production operations.

• Excellent English communication skills with the capability to lead effectively in a remote environment.

• Preferred: Experience in engineering leadership roles within an MSP, consulting, professional services, or forward-deployed engineering contexts.

• Preferred: Familiarity with AI-native development tools, autonomous coding agents, and engineering productivity analytics.

• Preferred: Experience with SaaS platforms, enterprise integrations, and managing ongoing security requirements like SOC2.

• Preferred: Experience scaling engineering teams in startup or high-growth environments, including collaboration with teams in Latin America.
