Engineering Manager, EDR

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the EDR remediation team

• Guide, mentor, and develop backend engineers and security professionals with extensive EDR knowledge

• Create clear career advancement paths for team members

• Convert EDR workflows into actionable requirements and effective product functionalities

• Collaborate with a staff-level technical lead on architectural decisions

• Work alongside Product on roadmap development and task prioritization

• Transform vague objectives into organized, deliverable tasks

• Proactively manage project scope

• Remain technically involved to question assumptions and remove obstacles for the team without acting as the main implementer

• Implement operational discipline through design reviews, release procedures, on-call responsibilities, and incident management

• Take charge of recruitment, team development, and the collaborative dynamics as the team expands

⛳️ Requirements

• Understanding of EDR or security operations to effectively collaborate with domain specialists

• Demonstrated experience in leading highly skilled backend or platform engineering teams, preferably within SaaS, cybersecurity, or large-scale cloud environments

• Proven record of delivering products within a specified timeframe despite ambiguous requirements and actively managed scope

• Strong capability in managing dependencies and stakeholder relationships across multiple engineering teams

• Knowledge of security and reliability best practices in multi-tenant SaaS environments

• Experience collaborating with a staff-level technical lead

• Ability to uphold quality or safety standards under time constraints while managing scope trade-offs

• Preferred: familiarity with agentic or LLM-supported systems in production

• Preferred: background in security operations, detection engineering, or offensive security

• Preferred: experience leading a platform team that supports internal engineering teams

• Preferred: exposure to event-driven architectures or streaming technologies such as Kafka, Pulsar, Kinesis, or Flink
