Engineering Manager, Billing Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee a team within Stripe Billing

• Manage a high-achieving engineering team

• Collaborate with engineering leaders, product managers, and designers to develop strategy and roadmap

• Utilize first-principles thinking to tackle complex challenges and system architecture

• Cultivate a positive team culture based on trust and psychological safety

• Establish processes that empower the team to perform at their best in a dynamic environment

• Guide and mentor engineers to facilitate career growth and skill enhancement

• Participate in engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Stripe's engineering management team

• Work closely with recruiting to attract top-tier engineering talent

• Interact directly with users of the Stripe Billing platform

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in engineering management

• More than 8 years of full-time software development experience

• Proven history of hiring and leading effective engineering teams

• Experience in fostering healthy, supportive, challenging, diverse, and inclusive work environments

• Capability to operate within highly cross-functional organizations and drive product outcomes

• Strong technical foundation with hands-on experience in resolving large-scale and complex technical issues

• Experience in developing extensible, scalable software solutions that meet various user needs

• Ability to excel with a significant degree of autonomy and responsibility
