Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Guide, mentor, and cultivate high-achieving engineering teams

• Take ownership of engineering execution for designated digital products and platform functionalities

• Collaborate with Platform and Data Architects to convert architectural visions into actionable engineering solutions

• Engage in design reviews, code assessments, technical problem resolution, and intricate engineering challenges

• Establish and enhance code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, documentation, observability, and secure development methodologies

• Balance the delivery of business-oriented digital products with reusable platform services and shared resources

• Lead technical planning, estimation, resource distribution, dependency management, and delivery commitments

• Ensure readiness for production, system reliability, performance, incident management, and continuous improvement

• Support recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation, mentoring, and career advancement

• Work in partnership with Product, Design, Data, Architecture, IT, and business stakeholders

• Discover opportunities to enhance engineering efficiency, minimize technical debt, streamline processes, and speed up delivery

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, including a minimum of 3 years in leading or managing engineering teams

• Demonstrated experience in delivering enterprise-scale SaaS products, cloud-native applications, or digital platforms

• Strong technical expertise in contemporary software development, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud technologies

• Experience leading cross-functional distributed engineering teams within an Agile product development framework

• Comprehensive understanding of software architecture, CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, security, and production operations

• Experience in building shared enterprise platforms, reusable services, or internal developer platforms

• Proven ability to scale engineering teams and implement engineering processes in expanding organizations
