Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Lead significant cross-team initiatives and guide them to production.

• Remain actively involved as a playing coach by coding, engaging in architectural discussions, and influencing crucial technical decisions.

• Review feature designs to ensure compliance with non-functional requirements.

• Manage technical debt and oversee incident resolution.

• Promote the effective integration of AI tools and methodologies throughout the SDLC and team workflows.

• Contribute to quarterly planning sessions and the definition of the roadmap.

• Recruit, assess, mentor, and inspire team members.

• Cultivate collaboration across teams and functions.

• Encourage a results-driven and business-focused culture.

• Track key performance indicators for the team.

• Ensure transparency in processes and delivery for stakeholders and partner functions.

• Streamline processes to enhance productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend engineering, ideally with a minimum of 2 years using Golang (not mandatory).

• At least 2 years of experience in an Engineering Manager role, preferably within a rapidly growing fintech or e-commerce environment.

• Proven experience in developing scalable, distributed systems and managing high-load architectures.

• Strong knowledge of backend tools and technologies, including PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, GitLab, and microservices architecture.

• Experience in integrating third-party APIs and contributing to product development efforts.

• A passion for producing clean, testable, and maintainable code.

• A proactive approach and the ability to operate independently.

• Excellent communication skills in English.
