Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kazakhstan.

📋 Description

• Lead the Tabby Card Activation team.

• Spearhead significant cross-team initiatives and guide them to production.

• Write code and engage in architectural discussions as a hands-on mentor.

• Play a role in crucial technical decision-making.

• Assess feature designs and ensure compliance with non-functional requirements.

• Manage technical debt and oversee incident resolution.

• Promote the use of AI tools and methodologies throughout the SDLC and team workflows.

• Participate in quarterly planning and help define the roadmap.

• Recruit, assess, mentor, and inspire team members.

• Cultivate collaboration across teams and functions.

• Encourage a results-driven and business-focused culture.

• Track key performance indicators for the team.

• Maintain transparency in processes and deliveries for stakeholders and partner functions.

• Streamline processes to enhance productivity.

• Collaborate closely with Product and cross-functional teams to develop scalable solutions that support the growth, monetization, and customer experience of Tabby Card.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of backend engineering experience.

• Ideally, at least 2 years of experience with Golang (not mandatory).

• Over 2 years of experience in a managerial engineering role.

• Preferably experience within a rapidly growing fintech or e-commerce organization.

• Experience in building scalable, distributed systems and handling high-load architectures.

• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, GitLab, and microservices architecture.

• Experience with integrating third-party APIs and contributing to product development.

• A passion for producing clean, testable, and maintainable code.

• A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.

• Excellent communication skills in English.
