Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of delivery and daily operations for the engineering team.

• Convert product and business objectives into well-defined, prioritized tasks.

• Recruit, nurture, and oversee a team of 5–8 engineers across various experience levels.

• Conduct performance evaluations, offer ongoing feedback, and engage in career development discussions.

• Propel process enhancements focusing on speed, estimation accuracy, and quality.

• Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders regarding scope, risks, and trade-offs.

• Work alongside Engineering Managers and the Principal Engineer to establish a unified technical vision.

• Incorporate AI-driven development practices into the team's regular operations.

• Foster a psychologically safe environment for engineers.

• Proven experience leading an engineering team through successful delivery, preferably for consumer-facing products at scale.

• Demonstrated history of talent development, including engineers who have advanced or improved under your guidance.

• Sufficient hands-on technical credibility to assess technical trade-offs and mentor engineers effectively.

• Ability to actively contribute to design reviews and technical discussions.

• Comfortable taking ownership of outcomes, team delivery, and morale amid changing requirements.

• Preference for direct, specific feedback coupled with accountability.
