This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Lead the successful execution and delivery of projects within product teams.
• Oversee comprehensive technical planning and convert product requirements into actionable tasks.
• Facilitate collaboration among engineers, product managers, QA, UX designers, and various stakeholders.
• Take ownership of the end-to-end delivery across cross-functional teams.
• Assess requirements for technical feasibility and architectural alignment.
• Develop EPICs and technical user stories.
• Refine, groom, and prioritize the backlog in collaboration with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Engineers.
• Organize and drive sprint execution, timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
• Promote engineering processes and rituals.
• Monitor team velocity and capacity to optimize resource allocation.
• Manage cross-team dependencies and eliminate bottlenecks.
• Guide design decisions, enforce appropriate design patterns, and participate in code reviews.
• Ensure effective monitoring, alerting, and observability for owned services while achieving SLIs and SLOs.
• Define, track, and publish product metrics post-release.
• Oversee and mentor engineers, conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and lead project status reviews.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8–10 years of experience in a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or a similar hands-on technical role.
• 5+ years of experience in building production systems using Java and Spring Boot.
• At least 3 years of engineering leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
• Strong grasp of Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery.
• Capability to translate complex product requirements into EPICs, user stories, and tasks.
• Solid backend engineering skills; familiarity with frontend technologies is a bonus.
• Experience with project planning and tracking tools.
• Knowledge of engineering and product health metrics and monitoring tools.
• Proficient in debugging complex production issues, leading incident response, and conducting blameless root cause analysis.
• Understanding of contemporary deployment practices, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and related metrics.
• Ability to foster alignment among technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Skills in risk management, dependency tracking, and stakeholder communication.
