📋 Description

• Conduct Performance Reviews and one-on-ones for team members.

• Gather feedback and transform it into constructive insights for team members.

• Oversee, coach, and mentor team members, aiding in their development and career advancement.

• Advocate for the engineering team in conversations regarding team structure, wellbeing, and professional growth.

• Lead a cross-functional team, establishing clear objectives and fostering accountability.

• Facilitate retrospectives and team check-ins.

• Collaborate with engineering managers and discipline leaders to ensure uniform practices and team alignment.

• Identify knowledge gaps in engineering and guide necessary training initiatives.

• Stay informed about WordPress engineering best practices and emerging technologies.

• Balance technical oversight, personnel management, and strategic team leadership while actively engaging in client projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience and a comprehensive understanding of technologies utilized by Human Made, such as WordPress, React, APIs, and software architecture.

• Demonstrated experience in leading a team of engineers, preferably in an agency setting.

• Outstanding communication, team-building, and organizational abilities.

• Proficient at identifying individual areas for improvement.

• Capable of evaluating feedback and converting it into clear, actionable development plans for team members.

• Confident in managing interpersonal conflicts.

• Experienced in a remote work environment.

• Possess a growth mindset and a passion for fostering engineers' career success.

• Proficient in both written and spoken English, at CEFR C1 level or equivalent.
