This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Lead a team of 4–6 engineers responsible for developing Ledgy’s agent and developer platform.
• Establish the technical vision and foster an environment that empowers engineers to excel.
• Take ownership of and enhance CI/CD build and deployment pipelines for both human and AI-agent workflows.
• Oversee GCP infrastructure, Terraform configuration, monitoring, and alerting processes.
• Define SLOs and enhance production visibility, particularly regarding AI-agent activities.
• Collaborate with the CISO to formulate and implement Ledgy’s security strategy.
• Tackle supply chain security, access control measures, AI-agent risks, and compliance with regulated-fintech security standards.
• Construct AI infrastructure and foundational elements for the agent platform, which includes MCP interfaces, agent identity and access models, audit logging, dry-run environments, and sandboxes.
• Develop the platform strategy in conjunction with the Head of Engineering and CTO.
• Enhance pipeline reliability, deployment speed, developer experience, and infrastructure dependability.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings, support engineers in their growth, lead career development discussions, and perform performance evaluations.
• Spearhead engineering initiatives that shape how the organization delivers software.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership on the technical roadmap.
• Possess a strong vision for contemporary platform engineering, particularly with AI agents involved in writing, testing, and deploying code.
• Extensive experience in CI/CD, DevOps, and infrastructure management.
• Proficient in observability, deployment automation, developer experience, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
• Adopt a security-focused approach to platform engineering, encompassing AI-agent access to production systems and sensitive financial data.
• Demonstrated experience in developing engineers and fostering their career advancement.
• Comfortable with hands-on tasks involving Terraform, pipeline debugging, and implementing enhancements.
• Regularly utilize AI tools to amplify productivity.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Engineering Management.
• At least 6 years’ experience as a Software Engineer.
• Significant experience in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps roles.
• Capability to engage in a live coding interview using a preferred programming language and IDE.
• Ability to discuss an architecture you have significantly contributed to, addressing CI/CD, infrastructure, and scalability considerations.
