This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus, +5 more countries.
• Take ownership of the technology strategy, architecture, and roadmap for the GoMining Platform.
• Develop scalable shared infrastructure utilized by various products and engineering teams.
• Determine which capabilities should be centralized at the Platform level and which should be retained within individual product teams.
• Lead significant architectural and technical decisions.
• Recognize scalability and architectural bottlenecks before they impact the business critically.
• Balance long-term platform investments with immediate product and commercial priorities.
• Ensure platform reliability, availability, latency, scalability, and operational performance.
• Establish and enhance SLAs, DORA metrics, engineering performance, and incident management practices.
• Enhance release stability, engineering velocity, and system resilience.
• Direct post-incident improvements and resolve systemic reliability challenges.
• Manage shared authentication, authorization, registration, and 2FA infrastructure.
• Create common account controls, user limitations, security mechanisms, integrations, shared backend capabilities, analytics, event infrastructure, and unified infrastructure across web and native applications.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Security, and engineering teams on cross-company initiatives.
• Engage directly with product leaders, General Managers, and C-level executives to align technology decisions with growth, revenue, conversion, customer experience, and product velocity.
• Prioritize engineering projects based on technical risk and business impact.
• Lead and cultivate the Platform engineering organization, including team structure, recruitment, performance, priorities, and execution.
• Foster engineering ownership and accountability; develop technical leaders; elevate the technical and execution standards.
• Actively leverage AI tools and agents, introduce AI-assisted workflows, automate repetitive engineering tasks, and integrate AI into the engineering operating model.
• At least 3 years of experience in Bitcoin mining site operations or comparable high-density data environments.
• Strong knowledge of ASIC miner architecture, firmware, and diagnostics.
• Proficient in electrical and low-voltage systems, cabling, and power distribution.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, switches, monitoring tools).
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Exceptional troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in physically demanding and outdoor settings.
• Willing to work flexible shifts, including nights or weekends as required.
