This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Review engineering documents, drawings, and specifications to extract essential information for analysis.
• Validate data related to underground and overhead electric system structures, including components, configurations, and documentation that supports current asset conditions.
• Conduct searches and data validation utilizing client platforms such as GIS, SAP, and document repositories.
• Examine job packages, engineering documentation, and project records to ensure consistency with system conditions.
• Execute GIS functions including querying geodatabases, preparing maps or exhibits, and extracting data for analytical purposes.
• Provide mark-ups and redlines on engineering documents in accordance with project standards and client specifications.
• Support lead engineers or CAD managers in the creation of construction documents, reports, and project deliverables.
• Perform engineering design tasks and basic calculations under the guidance of a licensed engineer or project manager.
• Maintain project tracking logs and coordination tools, encompassing status updates, challenges, schedules, and completion milestones.
• Communicate effectively with staff and clients to share accurate project information.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field; OR a Bachelor’s degree in a non-engineering discipline accompanied by 1+ year of relevant engineering-related experience; OR an Associate’s degree or trade certificate in engineering with 3+ years of experience in related fields such as civil, mechanical, utility, GIS, mapping, surveying, construction, or estimating.
• Capability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Experience in preparing, reviewing, and conducting quality control on feature studies, plan & profile (P&L) drawings, or similar documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook).
• Working knowledge of CAD tools (AutoCAD or MicroStation), GIS, and/or SAP systems is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with executing and documenting basic engineering calculations.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven, with strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented, open environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to remain in a stationary position for approximately 50% of the time.
• Ability to operate a computer, scanner, copier, and related office equipment regularly.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Must currently reside within the United States.
