This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage in extensive training focused on the design of building MEP systems.
• Execute basic engineering tasks and design responsibilities under the guidance of a senior engineer.
• Conduct standard computations and analyses.
• Acquire skills in AutoCAD and Revit for preparing drawings and visual aids.
• Aid in the review of drawing details, schedules, sequences of operations, and overall drawing content.
• Assess existing building conditions and compile technical reports.
• Gather data and information necessary for construction documentation.
• Develop project design and construction documents.
• Evaluate shop drawings and submittals.
• Systematize and prepare responses to RFIs.
• Assist with punch lists and the compilation of project closeout documents.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management teams.
• Draft project progress reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Update and maintain logs for shop drawings and RFIs.
• Manage personal hours using company tools effectively.
• Utilize AI-enabled and digital tools to enhance efficiency and quality of work.
• Recognize opportunities for process improvements and support the integration of emerging technologies.
• Complete allocated tasks and deliverables within established timelines and budgets.
• For those on the project management track: assist with project coordination, tracking action items and milestones, file management, stakeholder follow-ups, and QA/QC compilation.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or architectural engineering from an ABET-accredited institution currently in progress.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Willingness and ability to learn AutoCAD and Revit.
• Capacity to execute assignments accurately while paying attention to detail.
• Success in a remote work environment through effective communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivation, proactivity, and resourcefulness in a distraction-free workspace.
• Compliance with company and site safety protocols.
• Capability to analyze and prepare documents, reports, and correspondence.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical information.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% across any or all 50 U.S. states.
• Valid REAL ID or an acceptable alternative, such as a passport, for business air travel after May 7, 2025.
• Comprehensive week-long, in-person onboarding and training program.
• All reasonable travel expenses related to attending the onboarding training will be covered by DLB.
