Engineer III – Overhead Transmission Line Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design overhead transmission lines ranging from 69kV to 500kV.

• Create construction sketches for overhead network services from 4kV to 34kV.

• Conduct structural analysis and design tasks.

• Execute foundation designs.

• Model transmission lines using PLS-CADD software.

• Assess right-of-way requirements.

• Calculate conductor sags.

• Develop transmission line plan and profile drawings.

• Review vendor submittals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.

• 4 to 6 years of experience in overhead transmission design.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, and MFAD or similar software.

• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills for discussing technical recommendations with clients.

• Excellent computer skills.

• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

• Possess a valid driver's license.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is an advantage.
