This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop and nurture strong customer relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for satisfaction, retention, and growth.
• Manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables that are customer-facing.
• Ensure alignment of internal delivery plans with commitments made to customers.
• Recognize opportunities to enhance and deepen customer partnerships.
• Relay customer insights internally to foster business improvements.
• Detect risks, dependencies, and obstacles within customer projects.
• Facilitate cross-team problem-solving initiatives to address issues proactively before they impact delivery.
• Promote accountability and maintain clear communication across delivery teams.
• Set priorities and ensure customer projects remain on schedule.
• Regularly update leadership on customer delivery progress, risks, and resource trade-offs.
• Monitor timelines, milestones, interdependencies, and resource requirements throughout customer engagements.
• Assist leadership in resource allocation and product-delivery planning.
• Implement project management practices, schedules, and resource-planning tools.
• Create a unified source of truth for customer projects, minimizing cumbersome processes.
• Collaborate with Technology, Science, Product, Commercial, Marketing, and G&A teams.
• Report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, acting as a liaison between delivery and commercial teams.
• Manage customer relationships post-contract signature.
• Convert sponsor priorities into actionable requirements for delivery teams.
• Ensure accountability of accounts to their contractual commitments.
• Highlight expansion opportunities for the commercial team.
• At least 7 years of experience providing services or technology to clinical development teams at pharmaceutical or biotech sponsors, including CROs, clinical tech vendors, or consulting firms.
• Significant experience in collaboration with biopharmaceutical companies, demonstrating a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and clinical development landscape.
• Direct ownership of accounts or engagements with sponsors.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver customer engagements involving services, technology, and software solutions.
• Experience identifying expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
• Background in collaborating between commercial and delivery or technical teams.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Capability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing risks and challenges.
• Familiarity with biostatistics or quantitative methods is highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced degree in a life sciences or technical discipline is an advantage.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment.
• Must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area or be open to remote work with a willingness to travel 25% of the time.
