Engagement Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take charge of real-time social media execution across all platforms, including content scheduling, publishing, and making same-day decisions on priority content.

• Monitor Chartbeat and platform analytics in real time during each shift, highlighting and responding to trending stories as they emerge.

• Assist in the planning, execution, and assessment of engagement campaigns and initiatives aimed at audience development.

• Support newsletters and community forums to foster active participation and gather feedback.

• Compile and present engagement metric reports on a regular basis, utilizing data to inform and refine strategy.

• Address audience inquiries and moderate discussions to ensure a positive and respectful community environment.

• Keep precise documentation of daily activities, processes, and outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience managing social media accounts or operations for a publication, brand, or organization with a significant audience reach.

• Background in audience engagement, community management, or digital strategies.

• Experience in optimizing content for Apple News and other content distribution channels.

• Proficient in social media platforms and analytics tools.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote work setting.

• Innovative thinker with a strong passion for media and community building.

• Experience in social media advertising and campaign management.

• Skills in graphic design, video editing, or multimedia content creation.

• Familiarity with The New Republic’s mission and target audience.

• Interest in expanding into newsletters, podcasts, video, and push notifications as part of a comprehensive engagement strategy.

• Enthusiasm for contributing to TNR's growth through innovative strategies and experimental approaches.
