Energy Engineer, PV

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee renewable energy initiatives and/or portfolios (PV, BESS), encompassing all internal and external engagements and communications.

• Create economic models and evaluate the feasibility of advanced concepts across generation, storage, and grid integration.

• Conduct techno-economic assessments of design alternatives to identify the most effective technology and design approaches.

• Prepare documentation and presentations for financial institutions, investors, and other stakeholders.

• Develop, modify, and review construction blueprints for both ground-mounted and rooftop solar energy facilities.

• Execute electrical design and power loss calculations for photovoltaic projects.

• Perform energy yield evaluations using PVsyst software.

• Carry out site visits and quality assessments at various locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently residing in Mexico.

• Possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in environmental, systems or electrical engineering, energy technology, and/or energy efficiency.

• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience with large-scale photovoltaic systems and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

• Familiarity with the latest advancements in technologies and renewable energy solutions.

• Proven experience in preparing technical reports in a professional format.

• Capability to work independently with AutoCAD and PVsyst.

• Knowledge of Python, EPLAN, MATLAB, and other simulation tools is advantageous.

• Proficient in both English and Spanish.

• Additional language skills are a plus.

• Willingness to travel internationally (20%).
