This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Oversee the administration of ELL K-12 programs, providing professional support, training, and services for students and their families.

• Implement principles of language acquisition in the development of programs, support for teachers, and education for students.

• Counsel administration to ensure adherence to state and federal regulations.

• Deliver engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences.

• Tailor learning experiences to meet the needs of all students.

• Differentiate instructional methods based on student mastery levels.

• Enhance course content using suitable asynchronous and synchronous tools under the guidance of principals and coaches.

• Manage the grade book and uphold student academic integrity.

• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotions.

• Notify administrators of any concerns regarding student performance and progress.

• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with families.

• Communicate promptly with students and learning coaches/parents.

• Assist learning coaches/parents with curriculum and instructional matters, as well as basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom.

• Travel for in-person professional development, student assessments, and other school-related obligations.


⛳️ Requirements

• A valid Michigan Teaching Certification is required.

• ELL endorsement is necessary.

• Must be a resident of Michigan.

• Bachelor's degree is required.

• Active state teaching license is mandatory.

• Capability to pass a required background check.

• Proficient in interpreting and producing numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data to inform instructional decisions.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow educators.

• Open to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.

• Willingness to adapt and embrace change to ensure outstanding student outcomes.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.

• Commitment to maintaining teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.

• Capability to maintain a professional home office with minimal distractions during work hours.

• Ability to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.

• Required travel on average once a month and/or approximately 20% of the time.
