Elementary ASL Educator, NJ Certified

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Provide virtual instruction and assist students in completing their courses.

• Deliver the school curriculum through the district's virtual platform.

• Participate in district professional development and faculty meetings.

• Maintain records of student progress.

• Collaborate with the in-class facilitator who is present with the students.

• Foster creativity and enthusiasm within the virtual learning environment.

• Develop strategies to engage students and cultivate their learning and relationships.

• Design lesson plans that are in line with the class curriculum.

• Monitor student grades and performance.

• Choose positions via the educator portal based on certification and availability.

⛳️ Requirements

• New Jersey Certification as a Teacher of American Sign Language (ASL) or relevant New Jersey World Languages certification with an ASL endorsement (mandatory).

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Must possess an active, state-issued teaching certification in one of the specified fields.

• At least 3 years of experience as a professional educator.

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is required.

• Must have a laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and reliable internet access.

• Participate in a virtual skills teaching demonstration.

• Submit a background check as part of the application process.

• Previous online teaching experience is advantageous.
