Electrical Engineering Patent Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Engage with inventors to draft patent applications for submission to the USPTO.

• Manage the prosecution of patent applications before the USPTO, including conducting interviews with Examiners.

• Work collaboratively with clients and other attorneys at BoMc to create and enhance claim strategies.

• Take proactive control of a docket of cases for clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies.

• Prepare opinions on noninfringement and invalidity.

• Carry out due diligence investigations.

• Conduct freedom-to-operate and patent landscape analyses under the guidance of partners.

• Administer post-grant proceedings before the USPTO, including Inter Partes Reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or substantial experience in the field of electrical engineering.

• At least 2 years of experience in patent prosecution, particularly in electrical engineering.

• A positive approach toward client service.

• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and professional service skills, both written and verbal.

• Capacity to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and collaborate within a team environment.

• A self-motivated individual dedicated to success and personal professional development.

• A passion for participating in all facets of a dynamic law firm team.

• Submission of law school and undergraduate transcripts is required with the application or upon request from the firm.

• A cover letter must accompany the resume.
