Electrical Engineer, PE II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Supervise and manage electrical engineering projects in alignment with industry best practices, company protocols, and the National Electrical Code.

• Assist the Project Manager in developing project budgets, execution strategies, construction cost estimates, and timelines.

• Implement electrical engineering components of projects while adhering to budgetary, scheduling, and quality standards.

• Create study reports, drawings, and specifications that may require stamping and signing.

• Draft Addendums, Proposal Requests (PR), and Supplemental Instructions (SI).

• Guide and provide technical oversight to Electrical Engineers, Designers, and BIM/CAD Technicians.

• Participate in client meetings and document meeting notes.

• Facilitate electrical engineering communication among project team members, clients, and the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).

• Collaborate on design solutions with other technical disciplines.

• Contribute to quality assurance evaluations across all project disciplines.

• Conduct site visits for investigations, surveys, and to record existing conditions.

• Promote and uphold the Company's brand, ensuring a positive experience for clients.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by Company Leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.

• Professional Engineering (PE) license required.

• Minimum of five years’ experience following the award of the PE license.

• Proficiency in designing large commercial projects.

• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

• Clean driving record is essential.

• Detail-oriented and adept at managing multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced setting.

• Knowledgeable about the industry and competitors of the Company.

• Exceptional multitasking abilities, capable of undertaking tasks outside of the primary scope of work when needed.

• Preferred experience in designing Healthcare projects.

• Preferred experience in designing Higher Education projects.

• Preferred experience with Central Energy Plant (CEP) electrical infrastructure projects.

• Preferred experience in designing medium voltage protection and power distribution systems.

• Preferred experience in the design of paralleled generator systems at medium voltage and below.

• Willingness to travel 20–25% of the time.

• Prolonged sitting and working on a computer is required.

• Ability to climb stairs and maintain stationary positions, often kneeling, standing, or sitting for extended durations.

• Repetitive wrist, hand, and/or finger movements may be necessary.

• Capability to work in a quiet environment.

• Ability to adjust and/or lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
