This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create electrical systems and carry out design calculations.
• Review, endorse, and certify project documents.
• Evaluate submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Prepare as-built drawings.
• Conduct site inspections and visits.
• Engage in commissioning activities.
• Draft and revise specifications for electrical equipment.
• Choose equipment, electrical systems, and devices.
• Ensure projects are completed accurately, on time, and within budget.
• Collaborate with MEI personnel, clients, vendors, and external teams.
• Travel to job sites for site assessments and client meetings as needed.
• Minimum of 2 years of Electrical Engineering design experience within the construction sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in designing power systems for data centers, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, medical buildings, or other significant commercial projects.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and mentor junior staff.
• Strong knowledge of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards.
• Advanced understanding of equipment power requirements, including large-scale standby and emergency power systems and interactive generator control systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM, and Revit software.
• Capability to think strategically and adapt to achieve long-term goals.
• Self-driven, comfortable with uncertainty, and eager to collaborate in a team environment.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Employment may depend on successful completion of background checks, drug testing, and other pre-employment criteria.
• Electrical P.E. license or Engineering in Training certification is preferred.
• Experience with Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies is preferred.
• Familiarity with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications is preferred.
