EHS Wage Instructor – COAST/TRAIN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Support the training of various specialized skilled and/or semi-skilled courses within the TEEX Workforce Development Programs.

• Organize Environmental, Health, and Safety Program course activities related to assigned courses.

• Serve as a lead instructor inspired by the TEEX STARS values.

• Present course topics, including demonstrations using teaching aids.

• Utilize adult learning theories and styles to enhance learner outcomes.

• Provide effective instruction to a diverse audience.

• Report directly to the ITSI Workforce Development Program Coordinator.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Five years of relevant experience in environmental, health, and safety within the Construction and/or General Industries.

• Two years of experience in adult education and/or training, along with a background in training concepts and programs.

• Candidates must reside in Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Cameron, Duval, Hidalgo, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, or Willacy County.

• Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.

• Must have a valid passport or the ability to secure one within 180 days of employment.

• OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer (OSHA500 and/or OSHA501).

• Equivalency: three years of relevant experience with an Associate's Degree in an applicable field, or one year of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field.

• Equivalency experience must include two years in adult education and/or training and a background in training concepts and programs.

• Applicants will undergo a criminal history investigation.

• Employment is contingent upon the verification of credentials and/or other required information.
