This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +6 more locations.
• Evaluate completed AI-generated editorial, journalism, reporting, or video-editing outputs.
• Review task guidelines, supporting documents, finished products, and assessment results.
• Determine if deliverables adhere to genuine professional workflows and standards.
• Identify issues related to facts, editorial content, sourcing, technical aspects, legal concerns, formatting, terminology, and production.
• Analyze task realism, limitations, expected outcomes, and professional approval procedures.
• Evaluate editorial precision, clarity, consistency, attribution, sourcing, and compliance with house style.
• Review journalism for sourcing, factual backing, context, accuracy, and credibility.
• Assess video-editing choices, technical needs, narrative support, and readiness for client or broadcast.
• Reassess existing yes/no grading outcomes and reported evaluation scores.
• Assign suitable quality bands and identify unsupported or inaccurate assessments.
• Provide clear, concise written rationales that differentiate significant issues from minor stylistic ones.
• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in editing, journalism/reporting, or film/video editing.
• For editorial applicants: experience editing others' writing according to an established house style and responsibility for content that was published.
• For journalism/reporting applicants: experience in researching, reporting, and submitting personal stories; direct responsibility for sourcing and factual accuracy.
• For film/video editing applicants: experience in editing completed pieces on professional timelines and delivering final work to clients or meeting broadcast standards.
• Strong practical experience within the field.
• Experience in reviewing, challenging, or approving the work of other professionals is highly valued.
• Near-native proficiency in business English.
• Ability to provide succinct written explanations for professional decisions.
• Comfortable reviewing spreadsheets, PDFs, and other related professional documents.
• Capable of checking numerical data and internal consistency when necessary.
• Work must be performed without utilizing confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, institution, or third party.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support is not available.
• Fully remote work environment.
