Editorial Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Revise written content to uphold grammatical standards for the ONC website and mobile application.

• Ensure that ONC's dedication to nonpartisanship, ideological diversity, and civil discourse is evident in all published materials.

• Engage in constructive dialogue with writers of conservative, progressive, and moderate perspectives.

• Collaborate with scriptwriters and core content authors to guarantee consistency across all written works.

• Conduct fact-checking on written content to eliminate errors and maintain precision.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled student pursuing a degree in English or Literature, Political Science, Journalism, Communications, or related disciplines.

• Outstanding writing abilities are essential (English).

• Strong verbal communication and speaking skills are advantageous.

• Keen attention to detail is crucial.

• Previous editing experience is preferred, particularly with AP style.

• Must be a responsive, consistent, and effective communicator.

• Capability to work remotely and manage their own schedule to meet deadlines.

• Familiarity with Google Workspace is preferred.

• Willingness to participate in Organization-Wide meetings every other week.

• Availability for weekly Editorial Team meetings is required.

• Must possess authorization to intern in the U.S.
