This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Provide support to a team of seven editors engaged in creating board books, storybooks, leveled readers, chapter books, and activity books that are centered on prominent licensed properties.
• Organize and schedule meetings.
• Maintain and update publishing lists.
• Draft title information sheets and web content.
• Develop and monitor P&Ls (Profit and Loss statements).
• Secure approvals from licensors.
• Order copies of books from authors and licensors.
• Collaborate with editors and licensors to generate new book and series concepts.
• Aid the editorial team in the development of manuscripts and books.
• Create presentation decks for licensors and sales conferences.
• Showcase individual titles and book series during sales conferences.
• Manage sensitive materials that are under embargo.
• Bachelor’s degree in English.
• A strong interest in and enthusiasm for licensed book publishing.
• Capability to handle multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines.
• Exceptional organizational abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail and effective follow-up skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Must be able to work on projects with tight deadlines.
