EDI Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Manage support and consulting requests from our partners related to EDI and EAI independently.

• Evaluate business and technical requirements, determine feasibility, and implement appropriate EDI solutions.

• Establish standardized and tailored EDI processes and interfaces for diverse stakeholders in transport logistics, warehouse logistics, and internal systems.

• Independently strategize, oversee, and execute EDI projects, especially the integration of new EDI partners and interfaces.

• Set up, perform, and document testing, while assisting in commissioning and go-live phases.

• Create and maintain mappings and conversions within the EDI converter.

• Diagnose and rectify disruptions and errors in active EDI operations.

• Enhance existing EDI processes and interfaces.

• Collaborate closely with business units, internal IT teams, and business partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed vocational training in IT, such as an IT specialist qualification, a degree in an IT-related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience in EDI.

• Proven experience in EDI along with skills in planning and executing EDI projects.

• Proficient in converting and processing various message and data formats, especially EDIFACT (e.g., ORDERS, DESADV, IFTMIN, and IFCSUM), XML, SAP IDoc and SAP XML, CSV, and JSON.

• Solid understanding of technical communication protocols and interfaces, including AS2, SFTP, HTTP, and APIs.

• Experience in developing mappings using an EDI converter; familiarity with Lobster_data is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with databases.

• Programming experience in Java development is advantageous.

• Analytical and methodical work approach, paired with excellent problem-solving capabilities.

• Confident and approachable demeanor when communicating directly with our partners.

• Proficient in German and possess good written and spoken English skills.
