
eCW to Epic Conversion Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Lead activities related to data conversion for migration projects from eClinicalWorks (eCW) to Epic.
β’ Analyze existing eCW data to identify requirements for conversion, dependencies, and potential risks.
β’ Create and maintain documentation for source-to-target mapping that covers demographic, clinical, financial, and operational data.
β’ Collaborate with teams from clinical, operational, technical, and project leadership to outline the scope and requirements for conversion.
β’ Assist with data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation processes.
β’ Conduct assessments of data quality and propose remediation strategies to enhance conversion results.
β’ Validate the converted data, ensuring its accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications.
β’ Support mock conversions, testing phases, cutover planning, go-live activities, and stabilization after going live.
β’ Investigate and address conversion defects, data inconsistencies, and validation challenges.
β’ Document processes for conversion, mapping specifications, test outcomes, and project deliverables.
β’ Offer recommendations and best practices to enhance data migration processes and boost conversion efficiency.
β’ A minimum of 5 years' experience in healthcare IT data conversion.
β’ Direct experience in supporting conversion projects from eClinicalWorks (eCW) to Epic.
β’ Solid understanding of methodologies and best practices surrounding healthcare data migration.
β’ Familiarity with source-to-target mapping, data transformation, validation, reconciliation, and testing procedures.
β’ Knowledge of clinical and operational workflows within healthcare.
β’ Experience collaborating with large healthcare organizations and implementing enterprise EHR systems.
β’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
β’ Exceptional communication skills and ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
β’ Experience working in remote consulting roles and collaborating with diverse teams.
β’ Experience with Epic Data Conversion across multiple Epic implementations or optimization projects.
β’ Proficient in converting clinical data such as patient demographics, encounters, allergies, medications, immunizations, problem lists, laboratory results, and clinical documentation.
β’ Knowledge of SQL, reporting tools, ETL processes, and healthcare data analysis.
β’ Previous consulting experience in large-scale healthcare transformation initiatives.
β’ Epic certification(s) are preferred.
