Drill Assistant – Labourer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Prepare and provide the Driller with the necessary tooling and materials to sustain drilling operations.

• Handle drill rods, casing, core tubes, and core samples safely and efficiently.

• Support drill rig setup, operation, maintenance, and cleanup activities.

• Organize and maintain an inventory of materials, supplies, and tooling for drill rigs and support vehicles.

• Assist the Driller, clients, and fellow team members as needed.

• Carry out general labor tasks that support field operations.

• Operate safely in remote areas and under varying weather conditions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid Class 5 or Class 3 Driver's License with a clean driving record.

• A strong work ethic paired with a dedication to safety and professionalism.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

• A positive demeanor, reliability, and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team.

• Willingness to work extended shifts in remote locations and challenging weather conditions.

• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

• Preferred 1–3 years of experience in geotechnical or environmental drilling.

• Prior experience in fieldwork, construction, labor, or operating heavy equipment is advantageous.

• Experience with operating a skid steer is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Mechanical skills and the capability to troubleshoot or repair small equipment.

• First Aid or other industry-related certifications are favorable.

• Capability to consistently lift weights ranging from 50 to 90 lbs.
