Documentation Designer – Commercial Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Create precise, well-coordinated, and timely construction documentation.

• Conduct thorough reviews of drawings to identify gaps, clashes, and potential risks.

• Uphold design intent throughout the documentation process.

• Collaborate with Designers, consultants, clients, and Technical and Delivery teams to gather information.

• Manage drawing revisions and maintain project files.

• Generate plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules for construction purposes.

• Develop documentation based on established design concepts.

• Integrate architectural, interior, consultant, and technical information effectively.

• Ensure accuracy of drawings and schedules through ongoing revisions.

• Identify and resolve documentation issues prior to construction commencement.

• Adhere to agreed documentation milestones and project timelines.

• Assist the Delivery team with documentation inquiries during the construction phase.

• Utilize construction documentation experience in every drawing set produced.

• Leverage knowledge of construction methods, materials, detailing, NCC/BCA, Australian Standards, and approval requirements.

• Recognize when additional technical advice is necessary and seek appropriate guidance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in creating construction documentation, including plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules.

• Experience in developing documentation from a pre-existing design concept rather than creating new designs.

• Proficient in coordinating architectural, interior, consultant, and technical information into a cohesive buildable set.

• Ability to work full-time during Australian business hours (AEST).

• Strong grasp of construction methods, materials, and detailing.

• Familiarity with the NCC/BCA, Australian Standards, and approval requirements.

• Competency in Revit and other relevant documentation software.

• Methodical, detail-oriented approach, including the ability to identify gaps, clashes, and risks prior to construction.

• Capability to recognize when further technical input is needed.

• Responsibility for documentation tasks and timely communication of any issues.

• Adequate computer system capable of running Revit efficiently.
