This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Manage all aspects of docketing, including scheduling deadlines for federal, appellate, and state court cases across the nation.
• Review documents, correspondence, and emails to identify deadlines and apply relevant key code entries in the Firm’s docketing system.
• Collaborate with case teams to ensure the accuracy of docket entries.
• Address procedural inquiries regarding date calculations.
• Assist in investigating docket issues and responding to procedural questions from attorneys.
• Conduct electronic research on court cases to maintain an accurate record.
• Acquire and demonstrate knowledge of court rules and procedures in federal and state jurisdictions, along with various U.S. and international arbitration courts.
• Support special projects as assigned by the Docketing Manager.
• Operate under the direct supervision of the Docketing Manager.
• Provide docketing support for all U.S. jurisdictions.
• A Bachelor’s degree.
• 5-7 years of experience as a docket specialist.
• Proficient in rules-based docketing.
• Computer skills with advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) are required.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage time effectively while performing multiple tasks.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Capacity to interpret and analyze information.
• Experience with CompuLaw is preferred but not mandatory.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Bankruptcy courts is required.
